I get asked by couples all the time if they should do an engagement session before their wedding. Everyone is different about how they feel about it, but I really think doing an engagement session gives you, as a couple, some time to focus on the two of you for an hour or so and have some fun. I usually will pick a spot that you think is fun to explore. I have done them in so many places, either an urban setting, like Georgetown, or a garden/park setting, such as a park near the Bay Bridge. Sometimes we can do both if we plan accordingly! I once did an engagement session at the county fair – so I really have no guard rails when it comes to ideas! It also gives you a chance to hang out with me before your wedding day. Getting comfortable with your wedding photographer before your wedding day let’s you relax a bit and helps you know what to expect on the big day! I tend to be very laid back – kinda goofy and will do my best to make you laugh. I have an array of tools in my tool box from prompts to silly jokes for you to roll your eyes at.
