Catherine + Joshua had their incredible wedding at Tacaro Estate in Tracey’s Landing, Maryland. I know both Joshua + Catherine’s parents from Freedom Hill Horse Rescue on my street. They take in elderly and older horses in need. They do incredible work and create lots of volunteering oportunities for people who want to get invloved with horses and learn about them. This is the first time I have photographed a wedding at Tacaro Estate and I was blown away! It is a gorgeous venue really close to where I live in Southern Maryland. I love photographing weddings at locations that I never knew existed! Tacaro Estate sits on 74 acres of fields, gardens and has an incredible view of The Chesapeake Bay. The Historic mansion is full of unique finds and antiques, creating a feeling of stepping back in time. I loved the unique places to photograph Catherine + Joshua. They really wanted some moody and speakeasy inspired shots, which I think we accomplished! I loved her long sleeved dress and how it matched the property perfectly. The staircase in the middle of the mansion was gorgeous so of course I had to do lots of pics on it. They had a very classy and well designed dinner in the dining room for about 30 people. It was perfect and intimate. The sprawling front lawn is impressive as you drive up the long gravel driveway as you come into the property. We did a bunch of shots at the top of the driveway looking down as well. So elegant! I’m so glad I could document the day for them!
