Washington DC Wedding | District Winery Wedding | Kim + Tom

Wow – I have so many weddings I need to blog – I have been looking through some of my favorites and this one was definitely one of them. I actually shot Kim’s dad and stepmom’s wedding in 2001! Yikes!! Kim contacted me first through her dad and a friend, Greg Knott – who passed away suddenly this past year. He was a good friend of mine, and when I first started doing weddings he really helped me get started. I love when I get referrals through other photographers – it makes me feel like I am doing something right…. Miss you Greg! Kim + Tom are both Lawyers and decided to have their wedding at District Winery in DC. It is such a great venue!! It is sometimes a bit challenging as far as lighting because of all the dark wood in the reception area – but I love shooting places that are a bit different. My second shooter was the amazing Renee Michele who was awesome as always! Congrats you two!!
