Catherine + Brendan, The Oaks, Royal Oak, MD
When I first spoke with Catherine I knew this was my type of bride – she booked me over the phone while she was driving! Both Catherine + Brendan live in California and went to a wedding at The Oaks and fell in love with it – so decided to have their nuptials there. I love bringing out the personalities of people through their pictures – this was an easy task with these two – they were nuts! I love them! They had such great energy all day – I have to think they must have such an awesome marriage from the way they looked at eachother and interacted that day. They decided to have a boat bring them back from their ceremony to their reception and we got some really cute shots on the water. It was a great moment for them to spend together as well – I tried to hide a bit so they could enjoy their first “private time” as husband and wife – hence the shots from the floor of the boat! For their reception I loved the branches they used on the tables with votives hanging from them – so different! I love working at The Oaks, I love the challenge of making a venue I photograph so much
different each time I work there. I was there about a month after Catherine + Brendan’s wedding and can’t wait to post those pics – they are amazing!! There are many different areas at the Oaks – one more beautiful than the next!
