Meridian House is one of my favortite wedding venues in Washington DC. It was actually the location of my first wedding that I shot in 2001. I remember when I walked in the doors and my mouth fell open with how incredibly gorgeous it is. I love the architecture and all the stunning windows that adorn the whole building. It was designed by renowned American architect John Russell Pope, who also designed the Jefferson Memorial, National Gallery of Art (West Building), and National Archives. The back patio has a canopy of linden trees that shade a pebbled terrace and is just gorgeous in photos. Everywhere you turn there is amazing light. From the garden to the front of the building you have so many choices! And everything is very close – which makes it so easy on your wedding day.
